SCI announces building expansion

Sputtering Components announced a building expansion of their current manufacturing site in Owatonna, Minnesota, USA. The expansion will commence in the fall of 2012 with completion expected by the Spring of 2013. This expansion will substantially increase the manufacturing capability of SCI in order to fulfill its customers growing requirements.

Bill Meredith, General Manager at SCI, stated “We’re very excited to have this opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to our customers, employees, and the local economy. Support from both the City of Owatonna and the local Chamber of Commerce was critical to our decision to expand this year. We’re very pleased with the results.”

SCI has a tradition of manufacturing the components used for their final product. According to Kory Klecker, Operations Manager, “From a quality standpoint, this expansion will help to ensure that we have the necessary space to continue with this tradition.”
