Sputtering Components hosts 2nd annual Deposition Technology Workshop
Sputtering Components hosted the second annual Deposition Technology Workshop on November 19th, 2014 in San Francisco, California. The event, held in conjunction with SCI’s annual sales meeting, was attended by more than 90 customers, distributors, and representatives from around the world.
Speakers for this event included David Christie from Advanced Energy, Mark Abbott from Lite Sentry, Sarah Williams and John German of SCI, Dr. Andreas Pflug from the Fraunhofer Institute, Jason Bloking of Vitriflex, Fezan Sayed from Umicore, Frank Papa from Gencoa, Pawel Ozimek from Trumpf Hüttinger, and Andre Anders of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
“Our goal for this event,” stated Bill Meredith, Vice President of SCI, “was to provide information on current technology and innovations for the deposition technology field. Thanks to the high caliber of the presenters and their topics and the positive feedback we have received, we feel this was a very successful event.”
Plans are already underway for a similar event for 2015, due to requests from European customers. Robeko, a distributor for Sputtering Components and host of the first workshop, has begun plans for the 3rd annual Deposition Technology Workshop.
