Sputtering Components JAPAN becomes new representative in Japan

Sputtering Components, Inc. of Owatonna, Minnesota, USA is pleased to announce the formation of Sputtering Components Japan, Inc. as a new representative in Japan effective immediately

Tomoaki Higuchi (right), founder and CEO of Sputtering Components Japan, has worked in the vacuum industry for 19 years.  A graduate of Waseda University in Tokyo with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese history, he joined an international trading company of machinery in 1996 and has worked in the division of Advanced Process and Precision Machinery – a  division that works with vacuum systems, components, target materials, and inspection instruments.

For the past 19 years, Mr. Higuchi has worked to educate customers on the benefits of rotary cathodes.  In 2005, Sputtering Components, Inc. U.S.A. had one of their first overseas rotary cathode sales into the Japanese market.  Since then, more than 160 cathodes have been sold and delivered to Japan.
