Sputtering Components now a member of the Bühler Group
Owatonna, MN USA, October 1, 2018 – Sputtering Components Inc. (SCI) has become a member of the Bühler Group. Bühler has purchased all shares from the previous owners.
Sputtering Components Inc. – Member of the Bühler Group, will operate as an independent business unit within the vacuum coating business area of Bühler Leybold Optics.

The current management team will continue to run the business with its over 40 employees. The current CEO, Barry Nudelman, has resigned from his position but will continue to support the SCI organization in the transition phase.

Andy Britt, who was operating as Vice President of Sales for Bühler Aeroglide before the acquisition, has taken over as General Manager. Sputtering Components Inc. – Member of the Bühler Group, will retain its existing location in Owatonna, Minnesota USA, thus supplementing Bühler’s current North American activities.

In conjunction with the coating solutions offered by Bühler Leybold Optics in Alzenau, Germany, Sputtering Components Inc. will in particular strengthen the company’s global sales and service network and its product portfolio. Sputtering Components Inc will continue to cater to both end customers and original equipment manufacturers, offering them top-notch products and services.
